Ingredients
- 2 medium vine ripened tomatoes or beefsteak tomatoes
- 16 oz. ball fresh pulled mozzarella cheese
- 8 large basil leaves (or 16 small leaves)
- High quality extra virgin olive oil
- Salt and pepper
Directions
1.
Rinse
and
dry
the
tomatoes.
Remove
the
woody
core
of
each
tomato
and
slice
each
of
them
into
4
rounds.
2.
Slice
the
ball
of
mozzarella
into
8
slices.
3.
Rinse
and
pat
dry
the
basil
leaves.
4.
On a
serving
plate,
alternate
a
slice
of
tomato,
a
slice
of
mozzarella
and
1 or
2
basil
leaves
in
any
form
desired.
5.
Drizzle
1 -
2
tablespoons
of
olive
oil
over
the
top
of
the
salad
and
sprinkle
with
salt
and
pepper
to
taste.
Serve
at
room
temperature.
